April Newsletter

I hope everyone is well and managing to survive social isolation.  Don’t forget to communicate with each other……….contact another club member, family member, friend or neighbour each day and make sure they are coping with all that is going on.

In view of the Covid-19 restrictions and extended lock-down the Board have had no choice but to cancel our Regatta for 2020 (which was to be held June long weekend).

A regrettable but unavoidable decision.

New Trailers

We have taken delivery of 2 new aluminium trailers.  We have offered the 2 old trailers to any other north coast Club who could use them……….no takers yet.

Michelle’s new training machine

Congratulations to Michelle Dowrick on her innovative paddling machine.  The FB post has been going around the paddling world with responses from Canada and France and outback NSW.  Can anyone beat Michelle’s challenge??

General Reminders

Hot cross buns are to be collected at the cage at 10.00am tomorrow.  If you can’t make the pick-up please let Lyn know and other arrangements will be made.

There are many exercise programmes available online and on our FB……….let’s keep fit and motivated.

If you are using the Club Outriggers or walking on Saturday morning – please make sure that you don’t paddle or walk with more than 2 together.  Do not breach the restrictions.

Hopefully at the expiration of the 90 day lock-down there might be some light at the end of the tunnel 😊😊

Stay safe………..see you all on the water ASAP.
